Have you stuck to the training programme? If not any reasons why?
Yes, but found it difficult to fit it around this bad winter cold that I have picked up.
Have you done more or less than expected? Explain.
No, but I managed 2 out of the 3 sessions and was happy with my progress.
How did you feel during training this week? What were the highs and lows?
I felt miserable with the cold but managed with the programme okay. The high was doing the last session on Sun 18 Jan after a week of illness and still achieving my target.
Are you seeing improvements; in speed, distance, breathing?
Found improvement with my breathing and distance in my second session of the week.
Where are you walking/running; gym, beach, roads, forests?
Round Achvarasdal Forest. The paths and tracks are perfect to my needs at this early stage of the training.
Are you training alone/with someone else/mixture? How does this affect your training?
Fortunate to train this week with my wife Sophie. She has been a great inspiration and a 'chatty' running partner.
Any injuries?
None to date.
Are you feeling any benefits away from training as a result of the training; health, toning up, more energetic?
I feel I have more energy.
Are you doing any other forms of exercise; swimming, cycling, yoga, pilates?
I have only done a walk additional to the training programme this week due to my cold.
Any other observations?
I have lost 6lbs in weight since starting. This includes a change in my diet.
