Introduction
A little bit about yourself
Age 35, I have previously lost 25 stone in weight although have regained approx 4 stone now. I need to lose this additional weight to have my very substantial 'tummy tuck'. I'm completely unfit and I am going to struggle with this but keep telling myself that every day I become fitter and stronger.
Previous running experience?
None at all. I cannot run. I have never run before and did everything I could to avoid having to run at school and ever since.
Why do you want to run the Castle of Mey 10k?
To prove that I can be healthy at any size and weight. To lose weight and get fit. I've never felt fit and to be able to achieve something like this will be a phenomenal personal achievement. My husband (who is also completely unfit) will be running this with me we will support each other through the training and the day.
I work in health promotion and this is an opportunity to 'put my money where my mouth is!'.
Personal goal /aim
To finish the run alive. For our two children to be proud of our achievement (although they're probably too young to understand at ages 3 and 2!).
