Report 1 - Week beginning 11/01/10

Have you stuck to the training programme? If not any reasons why?

Yes and no - I've only been out running on the road once this week, but went to the gym on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Thought I would break my pain barrier at the gym first so hopefully on Monday I'll be ok.

Have you done more or less than expected? Explain.

Yes I've done loads more than expected, I've been doing an hour at the gym and have also been swimming and walking.

How did you feel during training this week? What were the highs and lows?

I felt ok, but have to admit there have been a couple of mornings where I couldn't be bothered but once I had my gym kit on, I got motivated. The low for me is the pain, but I just worked through it and felt better!

Are you seeing improvements; in speed, distance, breathing?

Not really feeling much different but I am learning how to control my breathing.

Where are you walking/running; gym, beach, roads, forests?

I've been in the gym and had one day on the road.

Are you training alone/with someone else/mixture? How does this affect your training?

I'm training alone, I prefer to train alone as I can go at my own pace, but hopefully as the weeks go on and I improve I may find a running partner.

Any injuries?

Not so far.

Are you feeling any benefits away from training as a result of the training; health, toning up, more energetic?

I most certainly have more energy, and have lost 3lbs in weight but hopefully as the weeks go on I'll get more toned.

Are you doing any other forms of exercise; swimming, cycling, yoga, pilates?

I'm going swimming 3 times a week, also doing my wii fit.

Any other observations?

Its been good so far, so I'm hoping it stays that way!
