Report 10 - Week beginning 15/03/10
Have you stuck to the training programme? If not any reasons why?
No !!!!!!! Shin splints !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you done more or less than expected? Explain.
Way less than expected. Due to the pain I've ended up doing far less than I'd like to be doing.
How did you feel during training this week? What were the highs and lows?
Monday I did a 2 mile run and felt really good, infact when I got back to the truck after 2 miles Ireally could have carried on running but I'm taking Sophie's advice.
Went for my run on Wednesday morning and after about a minute of running I had to stop as the pain in my shins was incredible they felt as if they were on fire, so ended up walking back to truck and by the time I got there I was limping as my shins were so sore.
HIGHS - absolutely none !!!!!!!
LOWS - deciding to give my shins a rest for a week and not do any running or gym work.
Are you seeing improvements; in speed, distance, breathing?
Certainly not this week.
Where are you walking/running; gym, beach, roads, forests?
My one and only run this week was on the roads.
Are you training alone/with someone else/mixture? How does this affect your training?
On Monday I ran alone.
Any injuries?
YES !!!!! YES !!!!! YES !!!!!! BLOOMON SHIN SPLINTS !!!!
Are you feeling any benefits away from training as a result of the training; health, toning up, more energetic?
The only feeling I have this week is disappointment.
Are you doing any other forms of exercise; swimming, cycling, yoga, pilates?
I have been doing some walking this week.
Any other observations?
Mmm yes loads but I don't think you'd be able to print them????? ha ha.
Joking aside I'm just hoping that I can get back running this week, I will probable take it easy and just do some light running and some walking, hopefully get back on track and put these last couple of weeks behind me and get myself back on track.
